GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS

Punctuality:

Students must be punctual to school and in attending their classes. Parents / Guardians are requested to extend their full cooperation to the school authorities in ensuring punctuality of their wards.

a) Arrival: School begins with the morning prayer / assembly and students must be on time for it and be present on the assembly hall / classroom. It is advisable that students reach 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the assembly.

b) Late Arrival: A student who reaches school after 7.40 a.m. will be allowed to enter the school only 3 times. Students who reach after 8.00 a.m. will not be allowed to enter the school. They have to make arrangements to go back home and will be considered absent.

Late arrival to the school is a breach of discipline. A student who comes late to school must enter the date and time of arrival in to the Regularity Record under ‘Late’ column.

c) Departure: Parent and guardians are requested to make proper arrangements to collect the students immediately after school hours.

If a student misses a pool car/bus, he must inform the VicePrincipal’s office and seek help. Students who like to be in school campus after school hours for any practice must have the Vice-Principal’s written permission with the NOC from the parents. Students who breach this rule or do it on their own will be liable for disciplinary action and the school will not be held responsible for any consequence.

d) Absentees: Students absent upto 2 days should get their diary signed by teachers on duty. Students who are absent for 3 or more working days will meet with relevant documents the VicePrincipal. Absence due to sudden illness or unforeseen circumstances must be informed at the earliest to the Vice-Principal in writing. Attendance : The purpose of regular attendance is to inculcate in the students traits of punctuality, regularity and academic discipline. To be eligible for promotion, a student must have a minimum of 80% attendance.

e) Leave: Leave for important religious ceremonies, wedding of very close relatives or special occasions must be obtained before hand and must be used with strict discretion. Application for the same is to be given to the Vice-Principal in writing.

f) Every day of absence must be recorded in the Regularity Record under ‘‘Absent” column in the school diary very briefly in a line. The leave granted must be signed by Principal / VicePrincipal or his deligate.

g) Early Departure is availed when there is an emergency at home or when a student gets sick in the school.

h) In case a student falls sick / meet with an accident in the school premises, the student can be helped with immediate first aid only. Utmost care of students is ensured but the school will not be held responsible for any accident.

The parents will be informed and are expected to come and attend the child immediately. For primary students, the student’s Escort Card in parent’s custody must be produced at the gate. The student’s Escort Card is a must for the release of the student from the school. It is important to give the correct contact numbers in the diary and update it whenever there is a change.

i) The school declines all responsibility and parents will be called if due to failure to produce a letter for reason of absence or delay, a student is asked to return home during school hours.

j) Students should look upon their school-mates as Brothers and teachers as Gurus.

k) Respect every teacher. Treat non-teaching staff with courtesy. whether of your own class or not. Be grateful towards those who taught you in the past. Greet teachers when you meet them.
